My bio: Greg Hannsgen runs Greg Hannsgen’s Economics Blog, whose URL is https://greghannsgen.org. From 2010-2015, his posts appeared at the Levy Institute blog, multiplier-effect.org. He conducts research in macroeconomics and monetary economics, among other fields. Hannsgen holds a master’s degree and a Ph.D. in economics from the University of Notre Dame du Lac, Notre Dame, Indiana, U.S. He also holds degrees in economics from Swarthmore College and public affairs the University of Minnesota’s Humphrey School of Public Affairs. Before starting his economics blog site, he had been most recently a member of the macroeconomics team at the Levy Economics Institute of Bard College, where he still formally holds the title of research associate. Also in the recent past, he has taught a course in International Financial Crises at the State University of New York at New Paltz (SUNY New Paltz). He has published articles in the Journal of Post Keynesian Economics, Metroeconomica, Journal of Socio-Economics, among other journals, and as book chapters, public policy briefs and notes, and stretegic analyses. He lives and works in the mid-Hudson Valley in the U.S. State of New York (about 90 miles north of New York City) and also blogs at healthyveganhudsonvalley.com.
